C-diff
Anyone ever had c-diff? Any positive stories to be shared? Please PM me. I have dealt with hell for the last few months after having my baby- MRSA and now cdiff. Please send prayers that this round of treatment works and I am part of the group of people who don’t relapse ??

Have they given you the ointment to stick in your nose? The mersa can live in your nose and reinfect you.

Re: C-diff
My son had a pretty horrible case of it lasted many months when he was a very young toddler. His doctors were even considering a fecal transplant. Finally, after his 4th round of steroids, it was cured. I really hope that it clears up for you-it was terrible for my son!

Did you or your spouse end up getting it? Do you know where he got it from? My son is 4 months old and I’m trying to protect him . I think I have a mild case but I’m just so defeated

Re: C-diff
It sounds like you are reinfecting one another. If you are nursing, you might want to discuss stopping with your physicians. I would replace all bedding, toothbrushes, and wash every clothing item on hot water.

The MRSA was a few months ago. The cdiff is 99% from the antibiotics I took from the MRSA. My husband doesn’t have cdiff at the moment. We bleach our sheets and towels and wash on hot water. I have a call into my GI and an infectious disease doctor. I just started the medicine so hoping at the end of these 2 weeks I’m okay.

You will be okay. Hugs ask if you can take a probiotic and take if okayed by ID/GI Wash hands with hot water and soap after any personal hygiene ( hand sanitizers don’t work)

Re: C-diff
Yes you can!!! My mother had c-diff. She was on so many antibiotics at the time. She becamse lethargic and it was almost like she had a stroke.
My mom was literally at deaths door. They gave her another medication and within a few days she was back to herself.

My son actually got C Diff from antibiotics. My husband and I did not get it. I was very careful about washing hands and doornobs.
Just a heads up- Purell and other hand sanitizers do nothing against C. Diff. The only thing that protects against C. Diff is actual soap and bleach.

Re: C-diff
Are you taking renew life probiotic with 15 ro 90 billion or more gut flora? It needs to be refrigerated, and is not inexpensive, but this works.
