Re: middle school- missing school?
This is just my opinion but once a child reaches middle school, I wouldn't pull them out. Especially in your case ... a total of 15 day over the course of the year. It does not matter what their GPA is. You are the parent so it is totally up to you / your call. I pulled my elementary age kids out of school for 4 days for Disney and felt a little guilty but hey they are in elementary school and Disney is not cheap!

middle school- missing school?
I'm not sharing my opinion. Just a heads up, once the kids are in HS, there are a number of absences that cannot be exceeded (depends on district) or the child will not get credit for the course. (unless it is a chronic, documented, extended illness etc. then the school provides for home instruction) Don't plan on doing this if your son is in HS while the others are little.

Yes I think that is too much school to miss. My DS is in 2nd and I already felt bad pulling him for a week for our Disney trip.
