hotel to stay at overnight near pt everglades cruise port
Looking for a recommendation for a low cost but not divey hotel near the port everglades cruise port. Nothing expensive as I will be spending too much on the cruise.

No experience but when I need a hotel I always go on Trip Adivsor, put in the area and filter by customer ratings. Then read the reviews and look.at the traveler pics.

I did that but there were so many hotels and I got overwhelmed. Also you cant believe reviews the way you used to be able to, so that is why I am asking for names of hotels that people recommend, not so much how to find the hotels, but actual names.

We just got back from a cruise leaving from there. We stayed at the Embassy Suites on 17th Street. Was great! Outdoor nice pool, bar and restaurant, walking distance to restaurants, Starbucks, a grocery store (great for last minute forgotten items), and free hot breakfast. We saw our cruise ship from the balcony.
ETA: do you live in Florida? In Stonecrest by the Villages? Was curious because of your screename.

Thank you for your reply, just beachy. I called the hotel and it sounds wonderful but i'm looking for rates less than $200.00 a night. I"m from NY.

DH and I stayed at the W on the beach.
We used points though.
There are tons of hotels in the area. We wanted something that was central to the area, have a good meal and just relax before the trip. Using SPG points was a plus for us too.
