Weird question
If you found out someone you planned to do business with and stood to make a lot of money from your transaction supported a “cause” that you vehemently opposed and was a danger to others, would you still do business with them?

Re: Weird question
Kind of depends what the "danger" is. Not enough info to make a decision.

Re: Weird question
It depends what "danger to others" is.
For example, if it's someone that I just have different political views, then I believe everyone is allowed to their opinion and would still continue doing business with them.
If I found out the person is a member of the KKK, then no, I would not do business with them.

Re: Weird question
If it had to do with anything against animals/animal rights/safety, then most likely I'd have to cut ties.
Anything else, possibly not. But really can't answer it since I don't know the topic.
Is there a reason why you don't want to add in more detail for more honest answers?

Re: Weird question
As long as it’s not illegal or disgusting cause. I’m assuming it’s something like gun laws or right to bare arms etc. then I will still do business and not discuss it. Politics, religion etc should stay out of business relationships.

If I was vehemently opposed to it -I wouldn't. If could be a danger to others I don't want to be associated in any way.

It could be indirectly .. ie.) lenient gun laws, distribution of alcohol etc

And still no way- it is the same as refusing to shop at a store because you do not agree with the owner’s politics.

Idk to me it isn’t that extreme, I don’t believe people should drive drunk but I still believe alcohol should legally be sold and I drink. I don’t hate everyone who loves Chik Fila (not sure the spelling?)
I strongly feel that in today’s world everyone is forcing people to have the same philosophy or beliefs. And it goes from both sides of the pendulum, Liberal to conservative.

Re: Weird question
Probably not but it depends what the cause was. But if I vehemently opposed it and I thought that my money would be used to fund this cause no I could not. I would take my business elsewhere.

It depends what "danger to others" is.

I fail to see the distinction here. Do you think the only way people are a danger to others is if they throw on a white hood and burn a cross? People with harmful political views can do a lot more damage working in the system. Everyone likes to hold out the KKK or Nazi's as the boogeyman threshold for racists or bad people, but people can have harmful views without the white hood or swastika.
This idea that "everyone is allowed to their opinion" with no repercussions is fundamentally incorrect. We have free speech, so the government cannot silence political opinions, but we, as the people in this nation, can choose what opinions to support, and one of the ways we can do that is economically. By your logic the KKK is allowed to have their opinions and we shouldn't hold those against them.
Also, you're assuming that the people with "different political views" and the KKK are mutually exclusive groups, which they aren't always.

Weird question
Personally it depends on what we're talking about. As noted above, this can vary wildly and people take things to many extremes.
I avoid Chick Fil A due to their political views. although I have been at one point.
I know the general manager that is a friend of the family at a particular restaurant/catering place is a trump supporter, but I will still have gone there.
To me, life isn't black and white, there are degrees of everything.
I wouldn't do business with someone I found abhorrent, but I'm not giving a moral purity test to everyone I meet

Btw, I just realized I read your post wrong. I read it more as a business partner relationship and not that they were going to make money from you. Your update makes a lot of sense.

I respect others rights to have an opinion different than my own but if I am vehemently apposed to something I am not going to engage in business (or personal) relationships with someone who shares different beliefs that I view as endangering others - that said I am fairly liberal but I let my moral compass guide my choices- I am all about live and let live unless someone/thing is getting hurt.
You are entitled to feel my opinion is extreme but I would hope you can respect it enough to allow me to feel that way without criticizing.
