I only get a "hot flash" a day or so before my period. It hasn't happened during the last few cycles though.
But there are times- a day or so before i get my period that I can walk through a blizzard in a bikini and still feel hot.
It's awful.
Not sure if that's a hot flash or just a hormonal thing around that time of the month.

I get them before and after AF and before and after ovulation. Then I’ll get a random one out of nowhere. Good times. Good times.
My favorite is waking up with a pool of sweat in my neck hole. It’s so gross. Hate it

mine just started! i wasn't even sure what was happening as i'd never experienced it obviously!
i'm always freezing cold so this is a rather weird way for me to feel. and yes, i'm waking up at night at all hours sweating.
how convenient!!!
upside is its like day 40 of no period so i'm

I never seem to have hot flashes during the day, but I definitely wake up in a pool of sweat most nights.

i had no cycle in november and december of 2019. then it came back in january.

Yup! I remember reading that too. And thought I don't know who I feel worse for us or the men in our lives
Try longer than that....my MIL has been having them for the last 25 years. Apparently her doctor told her she's one of the few women who experience this phenomenon.

I had them really bad and then during this pandemic I have been working out everyday so the hot flashes have subsided but I haven’t had my period since February

I *think* maybe they can give you estrogen, but neither one opted for that. And it was recent. My great aunt only died this past year and my grandmother was 2016.

I used to get them like crazy and went to the GYN. She doesn't recommend hormone therapy due to side effects but she recommended an anti-anxiety. OMG, within days the flashes gradually subsided and while I may still get one occasionally, this has been a g-d send. Besides, while I would never have said I was an anxious person, I do like the calm feeling the pill gives me - especially, during these crazy times

I wouldn't call them hot flashes but I do tend to feel warmer right before I get my period.
I'm hoping I'm like my mom - she had ONE hot flash and that was it. She also went through menopause at 61. My grandmother was 62 and never had a symptom either. The doctor told my mom that because her hormone levels were dropping so slowly, she didn't notice any big differences.

I didn't get hot flashes either (not any that I noticed, anyway). I went through menopause at around 44 or 45 and I'm 54 now. No issues, thankfully.

Yes! Literally just started this year. I get sweaty in the middle of the night a day or so before my period for a couple of nights then fine. Ugh! Getting older stinks! LOL

I am 48 and have had night sweats (extreme case) for the past year. My doctor checked my hormones and he said they looked fine but I know I am getting close because of my age. I start full spectrum CBD Oil and have not had night sweats since I started.
