My bff's fiance proposed to her in the bathroom of a gas station. Apparently this is where they first kissed (drunk after a day at the Boardy Barn). Def not my kind of proposal

My BIL (DH's brother) proposed to my now-SIL after Easter Sunday mass, in the parking lot, while she was 7 months pregnant in front of his parents, as she was getting into his car to go home. She was like "Yeah, sure, whatever."

My MIL, kind of forced DH into proposing to his ex when they were all out to dinner. She kept pushing him in Spanish to pop the question, not his idea of the most romantic proposal  They didn't make it to the altar, guess his mother forcing the issue didn't help.

DH proposed in the Manhasset train station parking lot. He wanted to do it at the Last Play at Shea concert, but chickened out, so he did it on the way home as we were walking from the train to our car.

i am laughing so hard bc when dh proposed he tricked me..when i walked into my sisters yard he had 30 people standing there and my nieces and nepheews were holding a will u marry me sign...
funny part..i thought he was picking me up to go to IHOP bc i loooooove IHOP lol
so now every june we go back on the day he proposed and eat some pancakes

IDK I think the one we saw at a military christmas party (Yay not the dressed up affair you'd imagine), where guy got down and popped said question while all the guys in the back were dropping f bombs and saying "Someone's getting *ussy tonight" then the girl (was 9 months preggo) said she didn't know, then finally almost 10 minutes later said "Okay why not?"
SOOO BAD! Sadly I was in the pictures for this one and the look on my face was priceless.

My dad proposed to my mom at a GAS STATION. Like he was filling up the car and he leaned in the window and said "will you marry me" and she apparently refused until they went back to their job (they worked together- that's where they met) and she made him get down on one knee in the parking lot. Their boss and my aunt (who also worked there) got to see the new proposal! My parents have been married over 32 years! lol.

Gotta love my classic proposal:
My DH proposed to me in the parking lot of my job! And he didn't even get down on one knee! My Boss offered to let me leave for the day so we can spend it together but DH had to go somewhere with his Dad so he left and I went back to work. So much for the fanfare!!

My parents went to a wedding where the sister of the bride was proposed to by her boyfriend. Got on the mike and did it in front of everyone. The bride was so mad....I would've been too!

I have seen this as well! I wanted to get engaged at my college reunion but that didn't happen! It happened 2 months later in Disney! I think getting engaged on vacation stinks because you need to call everyone!

Some of these have me literally laughing out loud! The gas station ones are the best! And on a toilet! Lmao.
My dad actually proposed to my mom one random day at home and he said "I think it's about time we get married". He didnt get down on bended knee and he didn't even have a ring!!!!! After that they went out to pick out my moms ring. Lol. They have been married 31 years so I guess it didn't matter!

When I was waitressing at Friday's a guy at one of my tables proposed to his girlfriend. To each his own, but what he said is what makes it so bad...he was like "Baby, I took you out to this fancy dinner tonight...". My co-workers and I were like, umm, this is fancy? The kids at the next table are throwing food. Then he asked the manager if he could give the couple a bottle of champagne (he wanted it for free!). My manager was like, umm, congrats, but not happening. For the rest of the night my co-workers and I were dying over the fancy dinner part.
Some of these other stories have me LOLing!

DH did it will we were camping. With all of my family. So that was sweet. But, I do tease him that he could have picked a time when I had showered and didn't have black dirt under my nails!! Plus the campsite was swarming with bears at night and I was quite sure we would be eaten. And there was an infestation of daddy long legs like I have never seen before. For real.. Like arachnaphobia. There were hundreds of them crawling on our tents.
My family camps A LOT and we joke that besides the proposal it was the worst camping trip.
Did I mention that it was monsooning as soon as we started to set up the tent so everything was soaked and there was a lake in our tent??

My friend's DH proposed to her during his best man speech at his brother's wedding without a ring. He was basically saying how his brother had a great thing and he wanted the same and then proposed. I definitely think that qualifies for stealing someone else's thunder!
