BTDT pregnancy related question
Hey ladies, just wondering if any of you experienced what looks like sparkles floating in your vision while pregnant? I'm 25 wks with twins and I never experienced this with my first, and I'm seeing them more often over the last few weeks... It happens when I'm not doing much of anything - standing to get something to drink, or sitting on the coach, or laying in bed...
Just wondering if any of you experienced this and if there was a reason for it. I see my OB tomorrow for my GTT and a visit, but I wanted to get an idea as to whether or not I should worry and call him today...
TIA!

I get this too! I haven't said anything to my dr...not worried about it.
FYI - My blood pressure has been great this whole time!

Call your doctor immediately! it can be a sign of pregnancy induced hypertension or preeclampsia -- happened to me at 27 weeks and i was hospitalized with preeclampsia

Re: BTDT pregnancy related question
ys I had it - whenever I changed positions (sit to stand, etc)
My vision would sometimes completely turn white for a few seconds too...but it never amounted to anything more!
The dr told me to get up slower..haha - with 2 other kids...I told her that is virtually impossible! I just made sure I knew where the nearest wall was so if I had to lean on something until it passed!!
good luck...it eventually went away the last month or so...hopefully that is all yours is too...but def tellt he dr..they had me go to another dr to make sure it was nothing!

Re: BTDT pregnancy related question
I had this when I was pregnant with my twins. I went to labor and delivery around 32 weeks and they said it could be the beginning of preeclampsia. They had me do a 24 hour urine test and my proteins were high and at that point I did a 24 hour urine once a week and the protein kept rising each week. At 36 weeks my blood pressure was very high and the proteins were high and they said it was preeclampsia and I had a c-section the next day.
