I plan to cruise next year. I will test and wear masks but I won’t go if a vaccine is required. I will find someplace else to spend my money then.

Yes I would. We’re actually going to Florida the first week of Feb.

Yes! In a heartbeat. All the precautions in place I feel safe. It’s probably safer for us to go on a plane (masked) and go to an air bnb and just spend time laying on the beach compared to staying home and going about our lives.

Yep in a heartbeat. My family has been coming and going to florida this entire time. Go relax by the beach and have some time away from NY

Sounds like absolute heaven. I'm dying to do this.
My coworker just went to Miami. It sounded heavenly.

For those that voted and said yes, Jet Blue is having a low fare sale today. I purchased 2 tickets for the normal rate of 1. No fee for change and cancellation until end of February.

We barely leave our house. No way would we get on an airplane and go on vacation. I expect covid numbers to be even higher after Christmas. I wish other people could be more responsible so we could get through this better as a country. But I’ve lost all faith of that happening.

I would go. I’ve traveled periodically throughout the pandemic and I think warmth and a change of scenery is good!

I think if I had my own house somewhere, I would probably go.

But to stay at a hotel and have to eat every meal in a restaurant...no way.

We have a house somewhere else that we love, but the idea of the airports, protocols, bathrooms, food, logistics, etc., makes it unappealing for now.

Light at the end of the tunnel and the comforts and company of home (family) makes waiting a bit longer just fine.

Re: Would you take a vacation next month assuming quarantine isn't an issue

I flew a couple of months ago and it was fine. I've always been one to wipe everything around me though on an airplane, including the seatbelt buckle etc. Alcohol wipe my hands often, and keep my hands off my face. I've always washed my hands after touching security bins at TSA. I realize most people don't do that, so in that case...I wouldn't. But, if you take precautions, flying is just as safe as going to the grocery store.

In addition, isn't the quarantine when you return very short if you test? I haven't been following the rules since they change often for NY, but I think that's what it is now.

Also adding, that I'm part of a Delta frequent fliers group (these people travel for business weekly), and they fly all the time without getting sick, but taking common sense precautions.

I also think you have to do what *you* are comfortable with. Some people don't leave their house, some people won't eat in restaurants, some people won't travel outside of their town, some people would never fly. So do what YOU feel comfy with.
