Re: Cruises
we went on norweigen a few years ago, and really liked it... we loved their whole "freestyle crusing" thing, where you don't have to have a set dinner time and table all week, it works just like a restaurant where you can make reservations or just show up when you want to eat.... it was really great! the food was good, rooms were nice, and lots of good activities and excursions..

Re: Cruises
We have gone on Princess twice and have been happy with them. We have also been on Celebrity a number of times. Princess has a number of different itineraries

Re: Cruises
We cruised Princess once & loved it! The service was great & the staff was always there to make your trip enjoyable!
We did Norweigan for our HM & we had fun but were not too impressed with the food selections & the ship. It might have had something to do with the "freestyle" type of cruising but we found that the staff walked around like they didn't want to be there!

Re: Cruises
I have been on Royal, Princess, and Carnival.
Carnival was my least favorite. Mainly for a younger crowd IMO.

Re: Cruises
Each cruise line is different and offers different type of itineraries and amenities on the ship. Celebrity is owned by Royal Caribbean. It's a bit more upscaled then Royal.
Carnival pretty much rules the cruise industry. Carnival Corporation manages a portfolio of cruise brands such as Aida, Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Ocean Village, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, Swan Hellenic, and Windstar Cruises.
MSC cruises offers a true italian experience. Sofia Loren is the spokesperson for MSC cruises.
If you really want to go upscale Cunard's QE2 or Queen Mary are the way to go. However the crowd will be a very much older crowd and it still works in class of service mode which means if you dont spend an arm and a leg for the ship you are not allowed on certain parts of te ship.
Holland America is a good ship. It's a bit of an older crowd but my co-worker just came back form a European cruise and absolutely loved it. She said everything was amazing. Holland America's ships all end in "dam" so their tag is "those dam ships" It's kinda cute and catchy if you ask me.
Costa is very nice. It has a European flair to it. Not very expensive and you wont see many kids on the ship. Their really arent a lot of activities for kids. The food is really good and the staff is friendly. A group I was working on is sailing in April on Costa and the cruise line has been more then accomodating. They are just wonderful to deal with.
I love Royal and dealing with them. I am actually going on the Freedom in September. It's a year old ship. The sister ship the Liberty is coming out in May. Royal is choosing the godmother for the ship.
Of all the cruise lines I like Royal, Celebrity and Costa.

Re: Cruises
Disney comes first...food, service...they certainly outdo themselves. Royal Caribbean 2nd..they were great Princess close 2nd to RC. I liked RC better because there were more people around our age.
