Gall Bladder

Is anyone - Or has anyone had a problem w/their gall bladder while pregnant?

My dr. sent me for an abdominal ultrasound yesterday to rule out gall bladder disease. He has me on a low fat/bland food diet until I get the results. I just wondered if anyone out there went thru this, and what your experience was. I'm SO nervous!

Thanks! My biggest worry is that they will have to remove it while I'm still pregnant.

Re: Gall Bladder

Because of all of your hormones your gallbladder usually goes (if its going to go at all) after the pregnancy. So unfortunately if you are having problems now you will probably have to get it removed after the pregnancy.. Its not too bad the procedure I had it done and do the scans for a living. They would have sent you for a Nuclear Medicine scan called a HIDA scan which is what I do but not if you are pregnant. Hang in there
