WHYYYY????? (Plus-size vent)

WHY do they not make plus-sized swimsuits with a supportive bra???? It kinda goes without saying that plus-sized women tend to have a larger chest, right???

EVERY SINGLE SWIMSUIT I've seen this year has these flimsy little soft-cup bras...or better yet...SHELF bras!!! I tried on a gorgeous swimsuit in Target today, and I was falling out the side!!!

SOOOO frustrated!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I wonder if I can have a seamstress put some underwires into one..... Chat Icon

You know, I'm not plus sized but I have big boobs and I am constantly in awe of how TINY the boob area is in just regular clothes. It's like clothing manufacturers forget about all the women in the world that have boobs....I have the hardest time finding bathing suits that my boobs fit in!!!!!

Re: WHYYYY????? (Plus-size vent)

Honestly, I would go to some place like Blums or even JCPennys for a bathing suit rather than any of the plus sized stores. I never could get a bathing suit from one of those stores....IMO their suits were just larger sizes of the same suits that was made for a size 6....

Ok...the website & models are cheesy, but you can get plus size suits with wires at: Pango-Pango Swimwear

They offer different fabrics & styles to choose from. I'm a big-busted chick Chat Icon , so that's where I get a lot of my suits from (I've ordered over 10 suits from them in the past.)

Uggh, I think those are some ugly suits.

I bought a couple tankini suits from LB and they had cup support that was pretty decent.

I have to say that I have the opposite problem. Having extremely small boobs, I feel that no shirts fit me properly. The padding they put in smaller tops on bathing suits looks ridiculous and low cut shirts go down to my belly button Chat Icon Chat Icon

and Im 4'11 with 34DDs - I have to buy medium/large tops (especially anything that buttons), and then its down to my knees.

I bought myself a sewing machine, i spend way to much $$$ at the tailors.

I buy my swimsuits at Great Shapes. They carry the miracle suit and other bathing suits with underwires.. Also they fit you so if the strap has to be taken in they will do it for you...

The swimsuits are expensive but I think well worth it..

Also Mary Corsetierres fits you but I hate waiting the 2-3 hours online to get fitted...

Re: WHYYYY????? (Plus-size vent)

I have the same problem... 5'0" and a 42DD. I found a very nice one piece bathing suit in Macy's that was specifically made for DD's. I forget the name (it's in the wash right now, so I'll edit my post later). Underwire, and very good support for the girls
