the stupid comments are starting...
So we told my DH's parents today that I was pg w/ twins. His mom apparently called his siblings to share the news because DH's brother just called...and I can tell his brother is scaring my DH about how tough it will be to have twins. Why can't people just be happy for us and not say stupid things?
On another note, when I told a vendor who I deal w/ through work about it, the first thing she asks me is if I did fertility treatments? Ummm, first of all it's none of your business, and second, does it really matter?
Sorry for the rant, but I figured the ladies on this board might be able to relate and/or give me some good comeback lines!!

It is hard, you will be hearing this garbage for a while. People feel the need to say soemthing and it is sad.

I think it really is ridiculous that people would make comments especially before you've even had them. Have they had twins? Do they know how "hard" it is? That's what gets me. People just assume, but I look at some of my friends who have just one - and one can sometimes be harder than two depending on the child.
I asked a mom of triplets once if she looks at us twin moms and laughs at how easy we have it. She said if you are getting up at 3 am to feed a baby, it doesn't matter if you have 1, 2 or 3, its hard!

Thanks ladies! I am feeling a little better today. DH is just a little freaked about the cost of daycare now. I know we will find a way, you just do it, right?
