Cruises

I have never been on a cruise and DH and I and possibly a few couples may want to go in either February or March of next year.

Can someone please recommend their favorite cruises and destinations.

My DH and I went on a Princess cruise last October. We left from San Diego and went to the Mexican Riveraria. It was wonderful.

Royal Caribbean is wonderful...a nice mix of people, not too old or too young..

Western Caribbean is great- sails out of Miami to Grand Cayman and Cozumel, they change out the 3rd island, sometimes Jamaica, sometimes another island..and since it leaves out of Miami the flights there are pretty cheap from LI.

We just got back from NCL to Bermuda and it was great. I highly recommend this cruise.

We went on NCL to St. Thomas, Bahamas (NCL's private island), Tortola, and Semana this past March.

We had a great time. The islands were beautiful and the ship and accomodations were great as well..

We like NCL because you don't have to get dressed up but you can if you wish... It was nice not having to travel with suits and formal dresses... This is especially nice now that the airlines are charging for the extra bags..

We will be going on another NCL cruise this April.

I highly recommend Princess!!! That was the first cruise we ever took & truly the best. We did a cruise out of NY to Bermuda (but it was the summer). The staff was great & the food was amazing.

We did NCL Dawn for our HM out of NY to the Eastern Caribbean. We were not impressed with NCL but overrall it was good. The islands & excursions made up for our disappointment with the ship & the food. The freestyle cruising was nice but we determined that we like the "formal" dining better.

We went on a cruise in march on Royal Caribbean and it was awesome!! We'd been on three other cruises in the past with Carnival and RCCL blew them out of the water.

There was SO much to do, tons of activities, the food was amazing and the boat was spectacular.

i have done 3 cruises carnival, ncl, then carnival again....i wouldn't do carnival anymore---i like NCL freestyle dining better.........i would def. want to try RCCL i heard they are the best cruiseline....

as for destinations.....we did eastern carib, then ny to bermuda, then western carib.

my favorite was the western (belize, mexico-2 ports, grand cayman), then i liked bermuda, then the eastern which included st.maarten st. tomas, dominica, barbados, puerto rico, and one more port...oh now i remember--it was martinique ( i probably forgot it b/c i really didn't care for it!)........let me know if you have any specific ??? on any of these destinations........

I've been on 6 cruises and Royal Caribbean was my favorite as far as activities, types of people (a true mix of young and old)

Celebrity- my favorite destination and food- service was phenominal- it was our honeymoon...largest room

Princess- food was great

Carnival- we went for new years eve so we had so much fun... BUT the food was not as good as the other cruises I had been on

I loved Princess Cruise Line. The staff was wonderful and the ships were immaculate. We sailed Norweigian in Hawaii and the service was horrible. I liked the different restaurants, but getting seated with a group of 4 or more was a problem. I liked having my set dinner hour. Also, on Princess we were able to upgrade to two different restaurants. It was wll worth it!

We did a cruise on Celebrity this past February out of San Juan, PR to the Southern Carribeean. We are not Island people but really loved this cruise. We had been on Princess before to Alaska, but the service and the food on Celebrity far surpassed Princess IMO.
