Re: Telephone calls with friends with kids...
This is totally my sister.. but part of it is kids are distracting and the other part is she is always trying to do a gazillion things at once. She is the type of person that will call you while having a conversation with someone else. So you pick up to her chatting away while you say Hello Hello several times
I just yell at her or tell her to call me back

Re: Telephone calls with friends with kids...
I HATE that.
If we everrrrrrr interupted our parents during any type of conversation - we were told 'Not now! Go in the other room and wait til I get there.' Kids rule the world now. Interruptions of any kind are rude. The majority of people I know with kids create no boundaries with them. It's BS. It's common courtesy.

Re: Telephone calls with friends with kids...
I am the last of my friends to have a kid, so I endured MANY years dealing with this. My one friend was awful- talked to her kids the entire time I was on the phone with her- and she would START conversations with them- "hey Chris how do you like the book"?
The worst is she did this during some serious/emotional conversations, such as when my Grandma died and when I told her I had melanoma.
I have a kid now- and I only call friends when he is sleeping, or if DH is there- I go into another room. I don't do this to other people because it was done to me.
