Pain in breast, possibly a cyst? -UPDATE-

I *think* I have a cyst in my breast. I noticed it last month and again this month a few days before AF. I read online that they are common. It's so tender and painful. Advil gives me relief.

I am trying not to worry and I am calling my doc tomorrow. Anyone ever have this?

UPDATE: So I no longer think it's a cyst. About a month ago I bent down to pick something up and my left side bashed into the babygate, right where it's hurting.

I spoke to the Dr. today and after telling him my story he thinks it's a muscle injury. I will see him on Thursday just to get it checked out.

I had something similar about a year or so ago, maybe more. My mom has a history of cysts so the doctor sent me for a breast ultrasound. It turned out to be nothing, just some breast pains before and around my period. Good luck.

Whare are you located? i have a great doctor who specializes in breast issues and cancers in Rockville Centre. DEFINITELY make sure you get it checked out....a sonogram AND a mammography would be best... you may then need a biopsy depending on what they can see (or not see) on the films. You should see a breast surgeon. She/he can do a fine needle biopsy and see if fluid comes out and drain it.
