Hard Lump Behind ear?
I know that this is an occipital lymph node swelling, but has anyone had it
Do i need to go to the doctor?
I feel ok, just wondering if anyone suffers from these lumps on occaision, i have had this before and went to an ENT

I have one behind my ear lobe (from ear piercings) its scarred tissue/ keloid I had mine surgically removed but it came back. Dr did biopsy and it was positive Im just learning to deal with it.

i had this a while back , i went to garden city plastic surgery group , had it removed.. always better to be safe than sorry

I've had one behind my right ear for a month now (since the last time I was on a plane)
DH has it too, it should go down on it's own eventually.

I have one below my ear (more on my neck). Had it checked twice and they said I can remove it for peace of mind - but I don't know how I feel about having something cut out of my neck  I was told to just keep an eye on it and that it was no big deal.

I had one years ago- turned out, I had chicken pox. So I guess it was a sign that I was fighting it? It went down on its own.

Its not something i can have surgically removed, its my lymph node.
I went to an ENT today, had a very painful test done, and a bunch of other tests and they didnt find anything out of the ordinary, they prescribed z-pak because i may have an infection somewhere in my body.
I am going next week for a follow up visit.
What made me worry is thinking it could be a sign of cancer, I think i am just being extra paranoid, but i am not sure if i need any additional tests

I also once had a huge lump pop up right around my collarbone. I felt perfectly fine so I was really scared. The doctor said that it was just a swollen gland, and by the end of that week I had a bug of some sort that totally kicked my butt! So the z-paclk will probably take care of it.

I get this whenever my body is fighting off an infection. Every doctor I have been to has told me its just a sign of my body doing its job. Mine started to appear after I had mono about 15 years ago. I have another one in my armpit that flares up when I'm sick. Don't worry, it's just your body's reaction to fighting something off.
