Re: WWYD? Only worked one week and
Honestly this is a personal decision.
YOU know what is best for you. It is my opinion that a happy work life makes for a happy life. If you are this unhappy *I* would move on and look for something else.
Good luck

Re: WWYD? Only worked one week and
I'm sorry it was such a bad week and things did not work out!
It sounds like you made the right decision. If they were unprofessional like you mentioned then it is good that you got out now.
Otherwise....u could bring it to their attention ...that you feel like they are giving you way to much work within your working hours. Then give it a week or so more and see if anything changes.
I hope things work out for you..wether it be this job or another.

Re: WWYD? Only worked one week and
You definitely need to do what is best for you and your family.
I know it is a personal decision, but for me, it's always taken me at least a good 6 months to really get used to a new job, the responsibilities and environment.
If you are that miserable already though and think there's no hope for change, then you know what you need to do.

Thank you ladies. I am just concerned about still being able to collect UE.
Just some background..I have been laid off for almost 1 year. I would be able to still collect but I have to make SURE that they will not pay me for the one week of working. I had signed a W4 form the first day and I am just concerned about that.
I have already made up my mind. I do not want to return there. Life is TOO short to be made THAT UNHAPPY.
So... do you think that they would agree to not pay me?! Sounds strange I know, but I am going to need to continue to be on UE until I can find another job!
I am in the same position as you, except I have been at my horrific job for about 6 weeks. I have to try to get her to let me go. I would suggest calling unemployment and finding out what they say. You could work a week and not say you returned full time-but you want to find out from them. I am sorry you are dealing with this-I totally understand where you are coming from
