low grade fever
My fever is under 100. Shouldn't Tylenol bring it to completely normal? It only brings it from about 99.9 to 99.0 and even then only for about 1/2 hour or so. I still feel warm and feverish when it is in the low 99 range. I can't take Motrin due to stomach issues. What else can I do? Maybe my mom's old cold compress on the forehead trick? What else?

Re: low grade fever
I don't really consider 99 a "fever." If I recall from biology, the normal temp range for humans is 98.2 +/- 1.2 degrees. 98.6 is generally considered "normal," but the reality is that there is a range of normal temperatures for humans.

I still feel feverish and the only time I get readings as low as 99 that only lasts for about half an hour. If it was 99 consistently, maybe I would feel better than I do. I don't think that normal for me is even as high as 98.6 a lot of the time so I do know what you mean. I'm more concerned about how I feel but I was asking hoping that bringing down the fever would make me feel better. My friend is telling me to ride it out b/c the slight fever means my body is fighting. I am being treated for the flu but I feel exactly like I did when I had mono.
