Anyone with Thyroid issues?
I have not been diagnosed, have a doctors appt this week, but I have been researching my symptoms, and I seem to have all the symptoms of Hypothyroidism.
I have gained about 25 pounds in the past year, I am exhausted ALL the time. I get a good 8-9 hours every night, and am still always tired. I am cold, like a bone-chilling cold often, my periods are completely out of whack, granted, I had my tubes tied, and thats a symptom of that too. What else?..... I am just off. I am not myself. I am not used to feeling so fat and tired all the time.
Any insight is appreciated.

I would also get your vitamin D levels checked.

Re: Anyone with Thyroid issues?
Definitely sounds like it could be hypothyroidism. Do you have issues with dry skin and hair falling out as well? Those are also common symptoms.
Definitely go get tested, it's a simple blood test to find out. Try to find an endocrinologist though--I find that most family doctors don't know nearly enough about thyroid levels and what's "normal".

Re: Anyone with Thyroid issues?
Sounds very much like symptoms of hypothyroid. I was going through a lot of the same issues too - my doctor just tested me and my thyroid level did come up low (post partum).

Re: Anyone with Thyroid issues?
It sounds like it could be thyroid, but I would make sure that you have a full set of bloodwork to make sure that its not some other hormonal imbalance. Even if it is thyroid, there are different reasons for abnormal thyroid function such as autoimmune, etc (my mom has this).
See your regular doctor, explain to him/her what is going on, and then they can run some bloodwork and figure out what is going on.
