i like this thread b/c my dog is so quirky.

he watches tv, he will bark and jump at the geico gecko, donkey from shrek and the hamburger helper guy.

i have loud tenants above me, so if they are loud when i am sleeping he will come lay on my head.

if the house is chilly, he will go to his clothes bin and give me a sweater to put on him.

he can turn on the tv with his paw, woke up one night and he was watching 3's company on nick at night at 3am.

loves hairbrushes, will steal them as well as toothbrushes. will fish them out of guest's overnight bags for himself!!

likes make up, when i do my make up in the morning, he has to sit on my lap and i have to tap his nose with the powder or he will growl.

is obsessed with shredded wheat. it is my favorite night time snack, sans milk and more than once i have caught him with his whole head in the box fishing them out if i don't put them away.

he burps in your face and runs away with a little smile and his tail wagging, my mom says he learned that one from me.

i can go on and on, this dog cracks me up.

My two are as looney as they come...

Tiberius is more of the funny one - he is a 50 lb black & tan coonhound... Ginger is a 10 lb long hair chihuahua. Tiberius has no idea that he's not a chihuahua so he goes up in the windowsill, lays on the radiator cover and stares out the window like a little dog.

They both sleep in our bed, but at night Ginger has no patience so we have to watch for "Gingey attack face" when she randomly decides she's going to lunge and attack Tiberius, if he catches wind of it he slinks off the bed himself and lays in his own bed.

If all goes well at night, Tiberius covers himself with all the blankets and goes to sleep, but then he wakes up halfway through the night because he gets hot. So he stands upright, dragging all the covers with him but he's in hiding and so tall we say he looks like he could be a Taliban so this is what we call "Taliberius"... if he comes in our direction instead and pokes his head out of the blankets while standing there he looks like a nun with the blankets wrapped around his face so this is "Sister Mary Berius".

Ginger lately has been farting really bad, like could clear out a room bad, but she doesn't realize it so she'll make a little "poot" noise and be like, shocked and sniff behind her and then take off running away from the area, which the rest of us have to do soon after that because it's so bad.

Both of them have always gotten treats whenever one of them goes to the bathroom, to get her to go on the wee wee pad in the bathroom and him to go out on the leash. We don't always see her go on the pad because we're not always in there, so if we are in the bathroom Ginger basically throws herself at the bathroom door and forces her way in so she can go on the wee wee pad while we're in there and can see. If we're not in there and she goes, she comes out into the living room and just sits and stares with us, forcing us to make eye contact to let us know she deserves a treat lol. Oh yeah and we haven't encountered this yet this year but she has a habit in the past of pooping on the tree skirt because she thinks it's a pad, and if she can't get into the bathroom but really has to go she poops in the office. She usually doesn't do this, only if she really has to but it's strange that it's always the office.

Tiberius also gives us a hard time going in the car, and every time we get near it he sticks all his feet out in different directions and pulls backward, we have to lift him up and he looks like a mummy with his legs extended forward and somehow fit him through the doorframe of the car.

Shea has quirky stuff too.

He only licks noses. That's how he gives his kisses

He sometimes will randomly chase his tail.

When I give him a bisquit, he'll toss it around like it's a toy.

He doesn't like the Progessive insurance commercials and barks at Flo. He also growls at car commercials.

He goes beserk when I take out the step stool. We have know idea why, he just starts attacking it the second we take it out.

He also loves ice.

When I open the deli meat/cheese drawer he comes running into the kitchen.

He won't go down the basement stairs. He waits at the top for me.
