Any body else's kid crazy?
Can you tell me if mine is nuts? LOL..
DD is 6 and we are making dinner. Rolled chicken cutlets with fresh mozz and roasted red peppers.
So she is helping me make the dinner and she wants to drink the pepper juice...Mind you she does not eat the peppers when we have this meal but loves the juice. I'm like T... you do realize the pepper juice is made from peppers right? So she says yeah I know I don't like the peppers only the juice!
Anybody else have a crazy kid like this?
Really not complaining but come on?

Yup, my dd (also 6) says likes applesauce and apple juice but not apples.

Now that I think back... I never liked tomatos as a kid, but loved sauce... My daughter will eat tomatos constantly and doesn't like red sauce. She actually asks for tomatos for a snack!
Don't get me wrong she loves her junk food but at least she's kinda healthy!

Not a child, but my ex boyfriend HATED vinegar...but would eat pickles. HATED ketchup...but would eat BBQ sauce.
Everyone's weird in their own way.

I prefer the term quirky instead  Mine all have quirks, DD is my quirky food kid though, she would probably drink the pepper juice too.

My DS wont eat the meat in the meat sauce ( I use ground beef in my meat sauce) but will eat hamburgers, meatloaf, tacos and meatballs. I use the same meat for all of them.

When I was little, I didn't like meatballs, but liked meatsauce...??? I also don't like tomatoes, but like tomato sauce and ketchup. Go figure!

Oh... I loved meatballs when I was a kid (DD doesn't).. I used to make them with my nana. She used to make them with raisins (but I wouldn't eat those)... so when we made them together, we used to make mine minus the raisins oval shaped so we would know which ones were mine.
Thanks for bringing back some old memories for me today. Having a bad day so this mad me happy!

You should make some oval shaped meatballs for your DD. Maybe she'll think they are different.

Oh I wish... we cook together all the time. If she likes it she'll eat it.... if she doesn't she'll make it with me but not eat it! BTW. I can't make a meatball to save my life. Neither could my mom may she RIP. Only my nana could and she made a kick A** meatball. Wish she was still here too... oh well.
But I do make a great gravy...(sauce)

yep. My kids love ketchup, pizza but hate pasta sauce. They only eat bananas straight from the peel, if you slice them they won't eat them. There are so many more I could list. It drives me crazy.
