cat carriers

if you have two kittens, should you get one carrier and put them in it together, or do they each get their own from the outset?

TIA!!

Re: cat carriers

never thought of this because we've never had two kittens. If the carrier roomy I think that's fine. If they get along well it may even be more comforting.

Re: cat carriers

My cats weigh 13 and 16 lbs respectively. No way would I carry thatin one shot. My carriers are large too so that adds to the weight.

I really need lighter carriers.

I'm sure when they are grown I will need 2 carriers, but I guess I really meant that, as kittens (when they are still very light and can easily fit into 1 carrier), is there any benefit to having them in separate carriers? Like will they prefer there own space? Do they freak out in carriers where they could hurt each other? Any other concerns?

Re: cat carriers

In general, my cat HATES his carrier, he is terrified of it.

I would think 2 kittens who already know each other would actually be comforted by each other.

If you are getting 2 kittens for the first time that have never met each other, then this might not work as it is scary for them to be trapped with a cat they don't know. KWIM?
