In denial about summer being over!
Anyone else totally in denial that summer is over and we have to go back to work?? I can't believe I have 2 more days and then I will be back to work! I haven't even unpacked my bag from June yet! I feel like I had 100 more things I wanted to do this summer that I haven't gotten to yet! Once I get into the groove, I'm sure I'll be fine, but I am so not ready!

I feel the exact same way - the summer went SO quickly! I am going in tomorrow just to do my bulletin boards. I don't want summer to end! When is our first day off?

Me, too. I got my "welcome back" letter and felt so sad.
I had the best time being a SAHM and my kids were at great ages and we literally had fun every single day.
I have no desire to get back into the rushed routine and feeling drained by 4pm
Last winter was awful weatherwise, I've just been enjoying summer so much. I saw all my high heels in my closet and realized I've worn nothing but flip flops since June.
Sigh......I really don't want to go back

I could have written this except I only have DS who is 14 months but I still enjoyed him so much and I'm dreading taking him back to daycare and picking him up after work when we are already so tired.
Plus I changed rooms this year and it's such a freaking mess that I'm going to be exhausted by the first day of school from setting it up.

I was dreading it all last week, but now, I feel like if my power would just go back on, I could handle anything. (Famous last words, I know.Once I'm used to having power again... someday... and have papers to grade, I'm sure I'll be singing a VASTLY different tune.  )

loved summer and it did go WAY too fast but i am looking forward to a new school year. i've had a rough couple of years class-wise and i have a good feeling about this year  i went in a couple of long days last week to set everything up so i could have these last couple weeks to relax 
hope everyone enjoys these last few days and have a great school year!

Totally in denial! I do feel like once things get started, it will be fine, but like you, I haven't even unpacked my bag from June  or done the dozen school related things I said I was going to do over the summer. I'm sitting here thinking I should really at least go through my bag tonight since I have to go to work tomorrow. Probably not gonna happen though

I worked summer school so I only had 2 weeks off in between jobs. I'm looking forward to a new year (although these past 2 weeks off have been fabulous!)

i was on child care leave for a year and am going back part time so i know i've had a nice long break but i am so not ready to leave my little girls and start teaching again
