One quick MIL vent before school starts

So, MIL watches the kids 2 days a week. With DD going to school now, her bus picks her up at 8:15. I kindly asked MIL to be here on her first day of school even though it's not a day she has them. I want to make sure MIL is here so we can both be at the bus stop TOGETHER to make sure she gets on the right bus, etc. She just texted me "hope I make it there on time"

My vent is because:
- MIL lives 8 minutes away
- I have to get 2 kids + myself ready by 8:00, you can't manage to get just YOURSELF out the door??
- it burns me to think this is going to happen EVERY day from now on.

In order for me to be at work ON TIME, she needs to be here by 8:00 so I can leave. I just have this feeling that it's not going to happen much at all. WHY can't she just be here on time?!?

(disclaimer: I do work for my FIL so I won't get "in trouble" for being at work late, but that's just not how I roll. I am expected to be at work by 8:30 and I really try to hold myself to that, KWIM?)

OK, vent over. I will update tomorrow to see when she gets here

I bet she will be there on time. Shes probably overdramatizing her text. I am sure she wouldnt miss seeing Leah off. Dont let it upset you. I will be shocked if shes not there. Good Luck to Leah tomm.!!!
