Very Hungry Caterpillar Lesson
Does anyone have any creative lessons for this story that I could use with my first graders when I get observed? Thanks!

Re: Very Hungry Caterpillar Lesson
our spanish teacher uses this book and has the food for each day on the smart board and they have to drag it to the right day of the week. (you can cut out pictures and have a week chart on the board, if you don't have a smartboard).
It might be a bit low for first, so maybe you can write out the word for the food, instead of a picture?
it definitely uses reading comprehension, health and math skills

Just to add a different spin to this, maybe healthy and not so healthy foods and have them organize them into columns.
Maybe offer some kind of writing prompt? "The caterpillar should have eaten _________ because..." or "If I were a caterpillar I would have eaten _______ because...." or something different.
