Sudden Rash on Hands
When I was getting ready for work this morning, I had an itch on the back of my hand and I scratched it. A few minutes later, I looked down and noticed that it was covered in little red bumps and was getting swollen.
I tried not to touch it all day and the bumps started to go down but at some point in the afternoon it started to itch and the bumps came back.
I don't usually have sensitive skin and I never break out in rashes.
I didn't eat anything unusual and I used the same soap and lotion that I use every single day.
It looks almost like prickly heat but I don't think that's what it is. Has this happened to anyone before?

Re: Sudden Rash on Hands
This happens to me because I wash my hands alot, then when the winter comes it just dries out.
Do you wash your hands alot?

Re: Sudden Rash on Hands
Not excessively... just after using the bathroom of course and before putting in and taking out my contacts.
I keep my hands moisturized so they're definitely not dry. And I use fragrance free moisturizer- same I always use.
Today it stopped itching and it's now just like little micro pimples. My hand has acne!

Re: Sudden Rash on Hands
I always get this especially in the winter. The only thing that works for me is hydrocortizone 1% cream..it stops the itchiness..so the bumps will eventually go away.
