Spotting in the First Trimester
I am determined not to go on google, so I am coming to you ladies for advise. I'm sorry in advance if this is TMI
I have been taking Progesterone (Endometrin) since we found out I was pregnant. On Sunday, when I went to go change my pad, i noticed that it was a bit more brown than normal, but I knew i was having discharge down there too so i didn't think much of it. Same Monday and all day Tuesday. Last night, before i took a shower, i went to the bathroom and when i wiped it was all a light pink color. I wiped again to make sure and the same. Before I went to bed, i went to the bathroom again and there was a nice bright, red spot on the tissue paper. This morning when I woke up and went to the bathroom, the tissue was clean but there was a very small blood clot in the toilet bowl. When I went to the RE this morning, I went to the bathroom again and nothing was on the tissue paper, but the same brownish-sludge was on the pad. Again, I am so sorry this is so TMI, but I saw the baby's heart beatr today for the first time and the little bean looks great. 150 hbpm. The RE said its not necessarily normal, but it is common for some women to experience this. I guess I am terrified because my friend also heart the heartbeat at 7 weeks and then in between she also had spotting and when she went back on her 8th week, there was no heart beat.
Any words of wisdom for those of you you have BTDT?
I have to add that ever since yesterday,. every time i wpie, there is always something on the tissue paper

Re: Spotting in the First Trimester
With my 2nd pregnancy (first baby) I bled in my 7th week for an entire week. Not spotting either. It was like a full blown period. Needless to say my DS is 2...
As long as it is "brown" it is old. Dont worry...
Bright red, just call your OB and they will take you in for a sono ASAP.
Good Luck...

Re: Spotting in the First Trimester
dont be on your feet alot...lie down and relax whenever possible and DO NOT LIFE anthing heavier then a gallon of milk...
Brown = OK
Pink = not bad
Red/Maroon = Fresh, could be nothing but call your OB to make sure.

Stay positive, its normal...I know a few girls that have had this...TRY not to stress over something you have no control over (easier said then done) just take it easy, dont google anything, watch tv, computer and sit back and visualize that baby digging deeper into your lining... :)
