has anyone experienced a high fever for a few days then a low body temp?

I had a C Section on 8/9. 10 days later i developed a fever which i had for 4 days. It ranged from 100.6-103.2. I have been back and forth to my OB. He did a complete exam and checked for breast infections and everything was normal. He sent me for a catscan yesterday. I haven't gotten those results yet. Yesterday was my first day 100% fever free. Last night i got really hot and sweaty and my body temp went down to 96.3. This morning i was normal 98.6 and again tonight hot and sweaty and i am 96.7. Is this normal after a high fever like that? Is my body just trying to get back to normal? My temperature is normally around 98.6 and i;ve never been low like this. It's also been YEARS since i had a fever like i had so i don;t remember if this has happened after a fever. TIA!

I had tewrrible hot flashes and cold flashes postpartum but never a fever. He ran cbc on you I assume? If all negative I would say iyts all the dang hormones! Feel better!

He ran all sorts of tests. I'm guessing hormones too! My temperature is already back to normal. It only lasted a couple hours. Hopefully tomorrow I am fully back to normal. Thanks!!!

this happened to me too after delivery. the doctor said it was from hormones and breast milk coming in.
