Low body temp?

DS hasn't had a fever since last night. I did give him tylenol around 5 pm b/c his throat was still bothering him. I just check his temp to make sure his fever hasn't come back and his temp is now 97 Is that too low? I know our body temp drops at night.

ETA: I use an ear thermometer and according to my ped. it is usually off by 1 degree so that would make his body temp 96???
