How to get the right size bike
Ds is 4 and has a 12 inch bike with training wheels. He has never been able to pedal it and honestly dislikes it. Yesterday we got on a 16 inch bike at toys r us and he did great and was able to navigate up and down aisles. However. I took a video and my cousin said that it looks like this is too small too. How do you determine size of bikes? I was thinking of going to a bike store but I don't want to spend a ton of money on something he is just going to outgrow. Any suggestions??

Re: How to get the right size bike
They have to be able to get on and off of them easily and touch their toes to the ground while on the seat.
IMO, they always seem to look too small even when they were the proper fit for my kids.
My 7 year old who is 47 inches has an 18 inch and my other 7 year old who is 51 inches has a 20 inch bike.
