We started solids! I need how-to advice...
The girls are 4 months old and they started on Oatmeal cereal today! One took to it like she had been eating it forever, and the other acted like we gave her poison, lol!
I need some insight: How do you feed both at once? Should I? they're soooo used to eating at the same time. I have a feeling baby J is going to scream her brains out if I try feeding the other one first, lol

This is how I did and still do it I like to prepare each babies in a separate bowl so I know how much each is getting and then aslong as no one is sick I use one spoon and put the babies in high hair in front of me each bowl in front of baby and go back and fourth with each

I got really good at using both hands!!! its not easy...
It helps that at that age they can't reach out and grab the bowl off the high chair tray yet.

Thanks for the advice... I don't have them in the high chairs yet... I think they're too little. Just the bouncers so far. One of the twins is constantly grabbing, and food is allllll over the place. I had to hold her hands down. What do I do?

Do your high chairs recline? I had high chairs that reclined and had a 5 point harness so I felt comfortable putting them in there to feed in the beginning.
At least you would have a place to rest both bowls of food.

we used bouncers at first also. I would put them on the kit table. I started out mixing 2 different bowls and used 1 spoon. Once they were both eating well I just used 1 bowl. much easier. I would just go back and forth spoonful for spoonful. I had 1 that took to it easier also. The other will get it soon. As far as messy, it is going to get messy! I do remember holding down hands while shoveling the food in.
eta: oh I also NEVER put the bowls in front of them. That would have been a HUGE mess.

Thanks Champ! The stage 1 stuff is soooo drippy that I feel like I have to hold the bowl. The good news is that the fussier one loooooved Bananas. So I am mixing it with her oatmeal today. Wish me luck- eek!
My high chairs are the space savers, so they don't recline. This should be fun, lol....

just a little note, not sure what year your space saver chairs are from, but we have them too and they actually DO recline (theres like a handle in the back that you pull while pushing the backrest back...i think). Not sure if it is enough of a recline for you, as we kinda went straight into sit up mode, but it should be there if you want to try it :)
