Prospect Park! It's not a dog-friendly beach, but a beach for dogs. It's nice though!

Link.

Dog Friendly Beaches?

Just found out about Mudcreek in East Patchogue. I'm actually going to check it out today! I live in the area and had no idea it was here. I'll let you know later how it is.

Well that was a bustChat Icon . I was the only one there and my baby was scared of the water! But supposedly on weekends it gets busier. I will definitely try again on a weekend. I think if my dog saw other dogs in the water she might try. As far as the beach there's some glass you have to watch out for and they have half of it roped off for nesting birds, so technically I think it's closed right now but not sure if people listen. I just kept my dog on her leash so she wouldn't run in that area. But other than that it was cute. No trash cans or anything. So I had to drive home with a bag of poopChat Icon

LOL. It sounds nice!!! Our puppy is so terrified of giving him a bath, so I was hoping little by little to start exposing him to water. Maybe the best thing for now is to get him a little kiddy pool in our backyard and start there lol

Gardiner's Park in Bay Shore. The beach is a 10-15 min walk from the parking lot. The beach is not very nice but for dogs to run around it's fine.

Dog Friendly Beaches?

Blydenberg Park in Smithtown is also dog friendly. There is no beach but there is a lake. My dog loves it there. However, the last time we went there were leeches in the water so just becareful.

I don't believe so. I think you're talking about the 4 wheel fishing permit. We have the fishing permit and dogs are technically not allowed even though a lot of people bring their dogs. Read item #4.

We drive onto Shinnecock and Smith's Point and always bring our dog. No one ever gives us a problem. Including the police and whoever else drives by. Everyone brings their dogs.

If you have the fishing permit it should say on the back of your permit (the image I posted above) if dogs are allowed. A lot of people do bring their dogs and no one says anything but if they do you'd have to leave.

We do not have a fishing permit. We drive on the beach, we only have a beach pass.

We also do not have a fishing permit and friends have brought dogs whenever we go on the Outer Beach.

Dog Friendly Beaches?

During the off season Labor Day to Memorial day (not the other way around) you can bring dogs to the beach at Fort Tilden. Although I'm not sure how effected it was since Sandy
