Opinions on high stims for DOR

Any opinions?
Is this the best treatment for DOR? Both RE's I consulted felt that high dose stims would be my best bet. Is this normal? I was never on injectables for IUI so I don't know if I will respond good or bad :/
My current RE is expecting a quick response and wants me to bring the galitrex (?) Saturday just in case but wouldn't growing follies that fast produce poor quality?

I'm surprised they didn't have you do an IUI with injects first to see how you respond. I don't have DOR. I responded well to injects with IUI but then on my first IVF I was started on that low dose and I didn't produce as many as we had hoped for. So for IVF 2 I was on 300 and produced a lot more. I stimmed for 12 days. Saturday seems kinda quick for Ganirelix. I can't remember when I started it. Basically you start it when your lead follicle is big enough that O could occur soon. I think I took Ganirelix for about 5 days. It makes sure you don't O. Many ladies on here with DOR were on max stims. GL and trust your RE. I hope you have LOTS of follicles.

Re: Opinions on high stims for DOR

I have DOR. My first cycle, with medium level stims was canceled due to poor response. My 2nd cycle, I was on very high stims. That cycle resulted in my DD. This cycle, my 4th, I was on a high dose of FSH (450), but a lower dose of LH (150). My retrieval is on Saturday and this has been my best cycle yet (the most follicles I've ever produced). Some other things were tweaked as well.

Different doctors see high vs low stims in DOR differently. Some think low dose is the way to go, seeking to get fewer eggs but hoping they'll be better quality. Other say high dose is the way to go. Considering how few follies I've had in the past, I can't imagine how few lower stims would have yielded.

All that said, everyone responds differently and we can respond differently at different times.

I'm going to be on high Stims in Jan for my DOR. Actually doing am and pm injections. Called microflare. I'm nervous but glad something different will happen since it didn't work last two times.
