IVF meds
Had my meds delivered last night...holy **** is it a lot to take in. Anyway, the nurse said i would be on gonal f but that wasn't delivered but menopur was. Are they the same thing???? Tia

They are not the same thing. Both contain FSH, but Menopur also contains LH.
Did you receive Follitism or Bravelle- those are more or less the same thing as Gonal F.

Nope different things. I had Gonal F in a pen form which came premixed and Menopur I had to mix. I took them both at night and they were different shots. See if something else was given instead of Gonal F because some REs use Follistim or something else. If you are missing anything I would call and see whats going on. GL

Oh ok. I did get follistim so that must be in place of the gonal f. I did call just waiting for them to call back. I must say I find all of this very intimidating :( thank you for your help.

Yup the follistim is in place of Gonal F. When I got the big box I felt the same way. After doing the shots for a few days you get used to it. I watched the videos online and had DH do the shots for me. GL

You will get used to it. I almost passed out the first time I got my Meds for IVF!!

Follistim is similar to gonal f I take both follistim and menopur. The meds delivery was overwhelming to me at first. You do get used to it though.
