Spin off bdays
I see some of you post that you just mail invites home. Does the school give out that info? DS is only in pre k through our district and the site said they are not even allowed to share email addresses. How does this work in the older grades? I'm a FT working parent so I won't have the ability to meet parents at pick up and drop offs. I also guess I wonder how I would meet parents if DS wanted to have a play date. Do public schools publish a directory if you agree to be listed? I know it's like that in the Catholic school DS attended for nursery school.

Our class has a class list. We had one in both K and 1st. You choose if you want to be on the list or not and what info you want to share (address, email, phone). Our entire school also has a directory that you can choose to go in, but I opted out of that one. Everyone in the school doesn't need to know my info.

In pre K they ddidn't give us one, my starting in K they gave a list. On the top it says play date/party list. Therefore , it is expected that some just mail invites home to who they would like to invite. The list includes the kids names, first and last, address and phone number.

Interesting. Both my daughter nursery schools (we don't have universal) gave us class lists. One published a school directory, the other gaves a list of the three prek classes.
In our public school the class mother emails everyone the class list. Child's name, parent names, address, contact number and emails. 90% of our invites are done by evite in K and 1st.

This is what my DD's classes have done too.

Our PTA puts together a school directory by class. Participation is voluntary.
