I prefer to stay away from prenatal massages anyway. They don't apply any pressure at all. I would rather not pay all that money to be pet for an hour. I tried it once and left feeling disappointed. I'll just wait until 36 weeks to go back to reflexology. It's only like 10 more weeks
Oh forget that then! LOL, I don't really want to sit there and be pet.

Pedicure question
I got my usual biweekly pedicures (with massage) all pregnancy long including at 39 weeks when I was already 3cm dilated and didn't have any issues, and the 39 week massage did not induce labor for me but it felt damn good on my swollen feet/cankles!

Re: Pedicure question
I always say whatever you are comfortable with. With my first pregnancy I went weekly.....oddly enough my daughters requires a nightly foot massage herself!! Ha this pregnancy I plan on going as often as possible.

I got a pedicure/massage at 38.5 weeks and it did not bring on labor and I was actually very far along (60% effaced and 3 cm dilated). I wouldn't stress it!
I went on my due date and nada
I don't think it's vey common for a pedi to induce labor, but I'm no expert. If you're worried, ask them to avoid your ankles.

I got a prenatal massage in 2nd trimester at Drew Patrick in Bay Shore. I needed a Dr's note but she definitely used pressure. I'm sure it depends on the massage therapist.
