Feeling depressed
Maybe it's just the pregnancy hormones but I'm just having a sad day. I just don't feel or look pregnant and at 16 weeks, I am just dying here. I thought I felt the baby a few days this week and then nothing much yesterday and just drank a cold iced tea and still nothing :( Maybe it was just gas. I feel ridiculous bc I just want to cry. I want my baby bump already and I want to feel and know my LO is okay in there. I want to feel connected if that makes sense and know this is real! I have been waiting for this for so long and I guess I'm just having an emotional day :( rant over.

Re: Feeling depressed
Part of it could just be the kind of weather we're having today - with the rain + hormones, bad combination that could lead to you feeling that way.
Just keep reminding yourself that it's still early and before you know it, you will get the belly and start to feel more kicks and movement. I've heard of tons of people that don't show until they're 20+ weeks, and that could just be the case for you, but it doesn't make you any less pregnant.
I know some people that have bought the doppler for the home to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat - maybe that's something you can look into? Not sure which one is good - the only thing that worries me with something like that is if you don't find the heartbeat right away, could set panic…but could be an option for you.
Hope you feel better as the day progresses.

Thank you, A. I know I must sound ridiculous but I know you understand being that we waited for these babies for so long! I just cried on my DH's shoulder and feel a bit better. Maybe it is a combination of the rain and hormones. I can't say that I'm not showing at all. I def look chubby but not a bump! I just look like I drink too much :/. I guess I just have to give it more time. My good friend texted me yesterday that she's giving me her doppler so I will hope to have that soon. I wish I could have a margarita right now!

Re: Feeling depressed
This is exactly how I felt this pregnancy as well..... and we're in similar boats as far as what we had to do to get here.... trust me, it gets better!! I felt the babies move around 15 weeks......then again a TINY bit around 19 weeks then nothing continuous until around 21/22 weeks. I was in a complete panic all the time b/c all I could think of was that at my next sono, they were going to tell me there were no longer heartbeats or what not. SHEER PANIC....CONSTANTLY!! I would drink a little caffeine, lay on my stomach, whatever I could do to see if I could feel them and nothing really eased my mind except waiting! Now I feel huge and the hourly heartburn is a constant reminder that they are in there...
I know its easier said then done, but you have to just wait it out....it sucks, but you can't speed up the process! I'm sure you will start showing soon which will give you some additional reassurance!!
Good Luck!

Re: Feeling depressed
Sometimes I like to put my hands on my belly and talk to the baby. Maybe that will make you feel better.

Feeling depressed
Some days are tougher than others! I feel you I am 19 weeks tomorrow and no bump and I have yet to feel baby move. I haven't even bought maternity clothes yet. So I'll be happy when there is finally a bump and I don't just look like I gained a few pounds. Hang in there.

Re: Feeling depressed
Omg you ladies are awesome. That's exactly how I'm feeling and the disconnect is so hard. Still haven't felt any pops or tickles but I'm hoping that the baby just moved or maybe it was just gas. Babydreams21-- as always we are in this together and it makes me feel so much better knowing I have someone who understands from first betas to now being pregnant coming from such a dark place. This is all still so surreal!

We have been through so much to get here that now it doesn't feel real that we are actually pregnant. People say oh its a good thing you aren't showing yet but I'm like if I was showing maybe I would actually believe I am pregnant and this is actually happening. At every appointment I am nervous. Its like I'm just waiting for something... Let's hope it gets easier! So just know you aren't alone. ttys
