Can carpal tunnel affect the shoulder too?
I've been having shoulder pain. I also get like a warmth shooting up my arm starting at my hand. Just curious if this sounds like carpal tunnel. I'll be calling the doctor tomorrow btw just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Hmm I'm not sure but I know when I went to the DR. for my CT he said because the pain was isolated to the inside three fingers and the wrist it was most likely CT (it was and I had surgery for it.) If it was other parts of the hand it could be something else...

Can carpal tunnel affect the shoulder too?
Could be CT, I would suggest seeing your doc... if the pain starts in your shoulder and radiates downward, it's less likely ct, more likely it sounds like "frozen shoulder" which my mom had a few years back... Have you had any trauma (car accidents, fall, etc)?

No trauma, I thought I had just slept on it funny but it isn't going way. I was also working out quite a bit so maybe that. Frustrating. Have an appt. next week with doctor.

Sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your neck. If it was CT it woudnt cause pain in your arm and shoulder.

Can carpal tunnel affect the shoulder too?
I had it for a while a few years ago. The feeling of burning pain and numbness can run up the center of your forearm and sometimes as far as the shoulder.
