baby #2 supplies?

If you had (are having) baby #2 (or 3+) close in age and of the same sex of kids you already have what did you have to buy new?

I made a list of all the baby things I would need if I was having #1 and crossed off almost everything since I already had it. I am left with just these items...please let me know if I'm blanking out and forgetting something!

Washcloths
Diapers/Wipes
Ointment
Bottle Nipples
Pacifiers
Nursing Pads for me (already have un opened Lanolin at home)
Mattress (bought baby a new crib since DS will stay in his)
Mattress Protector
Soap & Lotion
Bottle Brushes
Hangers

2nd seat for stroller (to make double)

I can't think of anything else?

Just thought...I probably need a new thermometer to check the temp rectally? Cleaning with alcohol won't be enough right? I used the thermoscan in the ear; and would also check rectally with a normal digital thermometer.

You're list is way better than mine, thanks! The only added things I have are vitamin d drops and I read vaseline is recommended for a circumcision (we're team green and I don't know for sure if we'll do it but I put it on the list just in case). Also for me pads and dermoplast. I also want to stock up on stamps and some baby themed thank yous.

Also, we got a new changing pad bc ours is pretty beat up. I thought about the thermometer but was leaning toward just cleaning it. Is that gross?

The one things I wasn't sure about was the pump. Do I need to replace anything or just sterilize everything? I know I have extra membranes.

You girls are good. I had new nipples for the bottles on my list, and umm....that's about it, lol. I was thinking about a new rectal thermometer, but everyone keeps telling me that it's fine as long as you clean it with a little alcohol. I might pick one up anyway since they're relatively cheap. I had been wanting to get a new changing pad bc the one we have is pretty bad shape too...I feel completely in denial that this baby will be here in less than 2 months. I need to get a move on!

And I forgot about stuff I might need for myself completely!

I do have to add vaseline to my list too-that's for me to pick up at Target along with the Super Pads; Motrin and Tucks!

I'll just clean the thermometer I have. Fortunately the changing pad I have is in good condition; I always used a portable changing pad (like the skip hop) on top of the cover in case of pee/poop stains. Made clean up much easier!

If you don't get a new pump (through your insurance) I think you have to replace t he tubing and membranes. Oh and maybe the things that membranes attach to? They're relatively cheap and I know BRU has the buy one get one 50% off sale often (they have pads buy one get one 50% off now )

I plan on getting a new monitor since I still want one for dd. second car seat base since we previously only had 1 car.

I need to go through blankets, swaddles, bibs and sleep sack for gender neutral since we are having a boy.

I also need a baby book, crib bedding and room decor and boy clothes.

Will get a fresh pack of cloth diapers for burp cloths.
