Fifths Disease while Pregnant- Not Immune

My 3yo was 'diagnosed' with it last Wednesday I called my OB and of course I am not immune. I'm going in tomorrow for a check on the baby and to do bloodwork to confirm whether or not I've been infected. I've had a cold for like the last 3 weeks of course I'm freaking out about it and I'm sure it's going to be positive.... I'm 15W1D.

Has anyone had fifth disease while pregnant?

My DS had it when I was pregnant with DD. I stayed away from DS which was easier said than done, and DH disinfected everything. The OB sent me for blood work to make sure that I didn't catch it. I'm still not immune to Fifths Disease.

I was exposed while I was babysitting my much younger cousin (Im the oldest of 21 cousins) and my aunt called me the next morning to tell me she had fifths. I was about 11 weeks pregnant. I did not get it, thankfully, and DS was just fine.

My pediatrician told me she actually got fifth disease while pregnant. They had to do extra monitoring during her pregnancy, and after the baby was born they tested him and he had antibodies to it, so while in utero he also apparently contracted it and still ended up completely fine.

It is scary for sure but try not to worry!!! (But hopefully you don't get it at all so you don't have to even worry about this)
