WWYD - 2 parties
I just realized, DD has a party to go to on Sunday at 2pm...pool party for a girl from school, who she really likes and is really looking forward to going. Meanwhile, my cousin's son's 8th grade graduation party is the same day at 3pm in Queens (we're in Suffolk). Stupid me, I thought the kid's party from school was Saturday.
So, I'm trying to figure out what to do...bring DD to the party at 2, go to my cousin's in 2 cars, and DH leave around 5 to get DD? I'll stay at my cousin's with DS for a while longer and meet them home afterward? That's assuming DD can stay at her party til 6ish; which I'm not thrilled to do to this Mom, since it is a Sunday. I just don't know what to do. I'm such an idiot!
Suggestions?

Since the graduation party is family, I would assume it would go longer. Can she go to pool party from 2-3 or 2-4 and then you call go to graduation party and stay till the evening?

Can your DH skip the grad party as well? Or is this someone you're close to? In my fam an 8th grade grad isn't a big deal, esp not for extended family.
Or maybe he stays back and picks up your DD at 4, then drives to Queens?

I would 1. Drop off dd at pool party at 2, head to grad party for 3 2. Have dh stay home, pick up dd at 5 and then head to grad party as that will probably still be going on.

I agree with Katareen. Don't make husband drive all over.........take to party & he gets day off from family party. haha

Depends on your family dynamics really. For us, family comes first and it has to be that way. But, she doesn't necessarily have to miss the party. If it were me, I would take DD to pool party for 1.5 hrs and then go to the grad party late and stay late.

That's probably what I would do. Family first.

Same. While I would be stressing and trying to figure out how to do both, my DH would 100% say family party, no friend party, no question.
