Re-negotiating contract

i would look at your contract to see when your eligible for raises. i mean it never hurts to ask, however, i would probably not ask if i was a new employee. i don't even ask as a seasoned employee to be honest. is it a significant amount you will need? what % are you looking to ask for? does your experience justify the increase? these are all things i would answer before approaching them and then discuss an increase from there.

I think I am going to have to re-open my job search as I need between $5000 and $10,000 per year additional.

I do NOT know what I was thinking when I agreed to the salary. I was so excited to have an offer that I jumped at it without thinking it out.

Thanks for the advice

If you are just going to withdraw your acceptance, may be can let them know that you are doing so because the salary is not enough for you live on and perhaps that could open a conversation.

Re-negotiating contract

I was thinking of asking for a raise and I'm at my new job one yr this April. I have been debating it in my head, but all the can say is no.

In your case it might be too late. Congrats on the new job.
