Prednisone
If you've used it, did you have any side effects if any?
I'm struggling to decide if I should. Given my history with multiply MC I'm leaning towards it.

Re: Prednisone
It really depends on the dosage.
At one point; I was on over 20mg for about two months. I had Moon face, broke out in little pimples on my face, my chin, my upper back (never had that before). I also at times; was snippy and bit**y.

5mg is very low, so that I'd do if it can help. Any higher, if weigh out the benefits. I was on 20mg for 5 wks recently and had a verrrrrry difficult time with it. I honestly found the side effects to be unbearable.

You would only be taking 5mg/day??? I doubt you will have any side effects then; its pretty low. I had taken low doses too at times; and didn't have anything out of the ordinary. Did a doctor put you on 5mg for immune purposes?

I insisted, based on my history. I had immune testing done at SIRM by Dr. T and he recommend it as a just in case.

Horrible night sweats, I'd wake up soaked a number of times during the night.
It also made me super anxious and jittery.. the smallest upsetting thing would made me feel like I was hyperventilating- which is NOT LIKE ME AT ALL and was honestly frightening.
I gained 12 pounds in a short amount of time which I personally found tough to deal with. I just didn't look like me. I had that whole moon face thing going on, my hands were swollen, I just looked generally puffy.
I got hair on my face which is just now starting to resolve itself. I took my last dose of prednisone the beginning of December.
It went to my dr for a physical and he told me it takes a YEAR for your adrenal glands to return to normal after being on that. It's such a powerful drug.
Wicked little thing is what it is...

Prednisone
I was on 10mg and had no issues. My RE wants me on 20mg next go around but I'm not sure. I think the prednisone did help.
