Flying alone with 3 young children?
So, we keep going back and forth the last few days on whether we should go to Disneyland soon. I would be coming home alone with my 3 children, 5, 4, and 21 months. I spent yesterday thinking how horrible it might be, getting kids to bathroom on plane, getting luggage etc. I can't even get them to listen to me and stop chasing each other around when we're shopping. Today, I'm thinking, it's only about 8 hours out of our life (including getting through security, getting bags, etc) and maybe I won't have any problems, lol. If you have experience with a similar trip, please tell me how it went.

Re: Flying alone with 3 young children?
I flew both legs with 3 kids: 2,6 &7. But to & from Florida (2 hours). Everyone needed to carry their own backpacks and luggage and I needed to carry a car seat for the littlest. We did all carry on and gate check (my trip was 2.5 weeks long: no excuses!!). Security was a breeze. It always is nicer with kids and I have TSA precheck status now. For bathrooms, my older 2 went together on the plane. We all went together at the airport and took turns in stall.
In plane, the older 2 had to sit solo (the seats were 3 across and 2 across). It’s something to think about, unless you are lapping the little one.
Mine have just finally reached a decent behavior for it. They were fine and watched TV. Another family with kids sat next to them (meaning put 2 kids across aisle from my 2 and I sat behind). My little one was with me and I kept switching things up for her (on iPad, food, etc)
It’s not impossible. I did the whole trip solo. Hubby joined me for a few days on weekends.
Were you the one deciding between Cali and Florida? Honestly, that would push me to Florida. It can be done... but it’s easier to corral 3 kids for 2 hours vs 6+.

No, DH was going to CA for business. The latest (as of today) is he might not be doing the work thing and we'll all go to and from CA together since we're already excited about going (kids don't know yet). The 6 hours is scary, but at least DH will be with me and I probably will take a car seat and pray the littlest one sleeps a bit. DH refuses to go to Orlando in August. Even though the projected temps are the same, he says Anaheim will feel cooler

Ahhh... I always think try something even if it causes temporary suffering for a vacation. Have a great time!

Anaheim will be cooler since they have virtually no humidity there! It gets much cooler at nigh, so pleasant! I think you are brave to go solo on a long flight like that with 3 small kids. I assume your little one will be on your lap? Maybe bring some Benadryl? LOL j/k!

Hahaha, I'm scared of even going with help. I don't think we're going to do it though. I keep feeling guilty and saying maybe and then I come back to no again. The flight and the heat are deterring me.
