Flying with young children

We may be going to Vegas in August and our almost 4 yr old DD will be coming with us. As far as flying, are we required to bring her carseat for the plane or are they fine with having her use the regular lap belt? We have never flown with her so I have no clue what the policies are.

Also, what do we do when we are there in terms of taking a cab to get around? I obviously can't carry a carseat around with me so i am wondering how that all goes when we need to catch a ride somewhere.

Not sure about the plane but children are exempt from carseats in cabs. In Vegas you probably wouldn't be going far and she's almost 4 so I think a seatbelt would be fine.

I live Vegas have fun. Just walking down the strip is alot of fun looki g at the hotels.

It depends on where you stay. It's mostly on the strip but it's a long strip but def walk able. There is a monorail that connects some hotels but not sure how many I haven't been in a while. It's hotel after hotel kinda like AC.

You aren't required to use the carseat on the airplane. Dd can just use the regular lap belt.

You are not required to have a car seat. We took our daughter to Rome when she was 2 1/2 and Disney when she was 4. We used a lap belt both times and it was fine.
