Christmas menu?
What do you usually have or what will you be having for Christmas dinner? Trying to switch things up this year.

Re: Christmas menu?
Appetizers are usually spinach pie, cheese pie, some sort of cheese and antipasto platter, stuffed mushrooms, pigs in blankets, grilled baby lamb chops, grilled octopus, Greek style sausage wheel and either grilled shrimp or shrimp cocktail…this year I’m going to try the cranberry Brie bites too
For dinner we have chicken française, eggplant rollatini, penne alla vodka, salad, whatever vegetables my mom makes usually butternut squash with sweet potatoes and asparagus, prime rib, and sometimes we add sausage and peppers depending on how many people are there

Christmas menu?
I’m hosting both Christmas eve and day. For Christmas day, I’m making ham, a turkey breast, roasted potatoes and carrots. We’re doing pasta and fish the day before. I’ll also have some apps out like a cheese/meat platter, stuffed mushrooms, a dip.

Re: Christmas menu?
It's just DH and me this year, same for New Year's Eve so I've got to plan something on the small side. Maybe all apps or a small roast of some sorts. Chocolate lava cakes with whipped cream for dessert - haven't made those in a long time and they are so easy.
Honestly wished that he cooked so I didn't have to.

Re: Christmas menu?
I decided not to do antipasto this year because I feel everyone fills up so much from it. So I will have a few smaller things as apps.
Dinner: Curly Pasta dish (sauceless) Eggplant Parm Filet Ham Glazed Carrots Mashed Potatoes Brussels w/ bacon
Desserts: Homemade Apple Pie Homemade Ice cream cake and about 10,000 different cookies
And a lotta Liquor

Re: Christmas menu?
Thanks everyone for the ideas. I ALWAYS cook and then it's hard to enjoy myself. I've been so stressed so I decided to make some stuff and cater some stuff. As of now I'm thinking:
Make: Spanakopita Stromboli Stuffed shells or Penne ala vodka (buy fresh and just add my sauce) Possibly meatballs
Cater: Eggplant parm or rolatini Meat dish (like sliced steak) or sausage and peppers Chicken dish (francese or scarpiello) Mixed Veggies
