Does anyone live in any of these areas?
Wantagh with Levittown schools
Massapequa Park with Farmingdale schools
My SIL & BIL found houses they like in both of these neighborhoods, but they have heard mixed things about these school districts.
As a side note, they have also found houses they are considering in East Meadow, Wantagh, Seaford, Merrick, & Massapequa districts. They really loved where we are (FP-Bellerose), but the inventory is incredibly low.
Anyone familiar with any of these districts? TIA!

Does anyone live in any of these areas?
I have family in both. If I were to choose, I would go with wantagh with levittown schools. From what they tell me, I think that's the better option. Only thing I don't like about my family member's house in wantagh is that it's a levitt home and I prefer a basement. Homes with basements are hard to come by in that area with levittown schools. Massapequa and Massapequa Park areas with plainedge SD and massapequa SD are the only two areas I would look in.

Does anyone live in any of these areas?
I live in the area. I’d say all those districts are pretty similar for elementary school. Middle of the road. For middle/high school, Bellmore/Merrick is rated 19th in the state.
Personally, I’d hold out for Bellerose/Floral Park.

I’m in farmingdale school district and I absolutely love it!
I believe we would be in diff elementary schools if she’s massapequa park but I can only speak for the experience I have had at our school and events at other schools and the high school etc.
We love it

I wouldn't recommend small schools with a tiny graduating class who face enrollment and budget issues every year. Just my opinion

Just wanted to mention that this is the time of year people tend to put their homes on the market. My mom is is Floral Park and a bunch of homes on her street have sold in the past 6 moths. She actually just sold last month, and the next door neighbor is currently for sale. If they really like the area, they should get in touch with a realtor there.

I grew up in Levittown and my entire family still lives there. I think it’s a great district and my parents had 5 kids go through it and other no problems. Also Wantagh/Levittown is convenient to pretty much everything, which is a huge plus to me. The only negative to me is if the house has an original floor plan. I hate the slanted ceilings. It’s a dealbreaker for me.

Not in Massapequa but we are in Farmingdale schools and love it. It may not be a top school district but so far it’s amazing

We are in Wantagh with Levittown Schools. We love our Elementary School and the middle and high schools rank higher than many of the surrounding "desirable" school districts.
I would not put much merit on greatschools.org because the rankings tend to be wrong.
