Unemployment Insurance
Is anyone filing for unemployment? I work part time for a school, so I’m not getting paid at all for my time off. Wondering if it’s even worth it for me to file after taxes will be taken out. And I read through the application where it says you have to be actively looking for a job... I know I will still have my job when the school opens up again, so that wouldn’t apply to me. How do they enforce that?

Unemployment Insurance
You can collect unemployment for seasonal work so I don’t see this as any different. If you have a date that you will return to work you don’t have to be actively looking.
I would apply and if you get denied, so be it. As long as you don’t lie about anything you’re not doing anything wrong. You are unemployed right now.
