Double oven ranges

Decided to get a new stove.

Originally the one i ordered a Whirlpool (just a 5 burner gas stove) is now on back order and they dont know if it will be filled anytime soon.

Was going to maybe switch to another brand, GE same one as the one Whirlpool just GE model but then have been debating if I want to switch to a double oven one.

I have always wanted one mostly because I use to bake more. I dont bake or really cook as much as I use to but there are still times when I do wish i had 2 ovens

so question is are they worth getting and if so which brand.
I was thinking of getting a Samsung one because you can make it a whole one oven or 2 ovens but some people tell me to stay away from all Samsung appliances (they hear from repair people they always have problem)

I love mine.

We host a lot of holidays etc. and it really comes in handy when heating up other people's dishes too.

We happen to have an Electrolux and love it.

My mom has a GE and she really likes it. It's great for when she hosts holidays and parties. Also, it's nice when she just has to make fries or biscuits and can just heat up the smaller top oven and pop them in.

Re: Double oven ranges

I don’t have that ( I have the Frigidaire prof series stove) but a friend of mine who does a lot of entertaining bought the double range because she thought having the separation would help with the different dishes she’s always making. Which is does. But she said the bigger part doesnt hold a big turkey. I don’t know what size she is talking about but that’s her only complaint with that oven

Same. Mine is about 6 years old.

I like the smaller choice. Takes less time to pre-heat.
Although I am currently having electrical issues with the one I use almost exclusively (it keeps shorting) I love the option and the extra room for when I go into a cooking/baking frenzy.

Re: Double oven ranges

I don’t have gas, but I have a double oven electric stove by Kitchen aid and I love it. The one oven is smaller, and I use that most often. The other oven is big enough for a large turkey. I especially like it on the holidays or when hosting a big dinner.

yes so this was a worry of mine that somethings will not fit.

with the Samsung you can take out the divider that makes it 2 ovens to make it just one big oven.

I am just hesitant on the Samsung brand because people complain about their appliances.

though i would buy a 5 year maybe and 8 year warranty so maybe then do I need to really worry? Chat Icon Chat Icon

Double oven ranges

I have the GE and I love it. It actually broke during the shutdown (first week) and PC Richards would do nothing. I called GE directly after about 4 weeks of suffering and they immediately sent me out another one. I don't know if that is normal but they have my support from now on!

Oohhh very cool
Honestly everyone complains about everything lol just get the extended warranty to cover. Nothing is made to last 20 yrs anymore.

I've never had an issue with anything not fitting. The two ovens on mine are the same size; and they're pretty big. When I cook my turkey, which is at least 22+ pounds, I put it on the bottom rack and I remove the rest of the racks and it fits no problem. And then I just use the other oven for the side dishes that fits plenty. Chat Icon

Re: Double oven ranges

I have a double wall oven, if you have the space for a cooktop separate and the 2 wall ovens it makes a huge difference.
If your cooking on the cooktop someone else can check the oven without having to move out of the way. It’s also higher and you don’t have to bend down so low.
