Jealousy
Do you think that anyone is jealous of you? It has never crossed my mind that someone might be jealous of me, let alone something I would accuse someone of. I always found that to be a weird concept. Maybe because I am not jealous of anyone else, I would never presume to think some is jealous of me. And on the flip side, are you, yourself, jealous of anyone else?

Not really.
I know one time one of my friends said they were jealous of how my husband was with me (we were out and just having a good time and my husband is very outgoing and fun) and said I want that but I would never say she was actually jealous of me. She was just single and looking for someone who would be like that with her.

My sister is jealous of my relationship with my mom. I know that has been lots of arguments about that.
Anyone else jealous of me for other reasons? Who knows. But don’t really think about that. I’m not a conceited self centered person who would say that about my appearance, house, income or anything else like that.

I know some friends who are jealous about the flexibility I have at work and the random days off they give us just because... And are jealous that we travel a lot, but that is where we choose to spend our money as opposed to other things that they spend money on (like some spend money on expensive summer camps and some spend money on home improvements that I wouldn't see as necessary).

Most people don't come out and say that even if they do think it is true. You have to be a huge spoiled brat to be like that. Sad for adults to be like that.

I never really thought about that, but I bet a lot of people are jealous of others. It's human nature.
I realize that I am very fortunate to have what I have. Many others don't. Some things are just God-given, in my opinion. I was born with all my body parts in working order, including my brain. And, I was born in America in NYC to hardworking parents who tried to instill good values in their family. I feel like those things are the luckiest things I have. From there, it's what we do with those things. If people are jealous, I can't control that.

Some people are never happy or satisfied, they will always want more. I can't imagine living like that.
I never think people are jealous of me. Most likely because no one is jealous of me or I don't notice it.

I know that my boyfriend's crazy female friend (the one I blocked b/c she's toxic) is jealous of my relationship with him. I also know that a lot of single females in the single parent group are jealous that we've been dating almost 3 years - but mostly b/c there aren't a lot of great single dads available (a lot are nice guys but have a lot of emotional baggage they need to deal with first).
I tend to be jealous so I try to keep it in check. Right now I'm mostly jealous of women with good/decent bodies b/c I gained about 40 pounds after chemo and I was already overweight. I'm jealous that I've been struggling so much and wish I had a better body - or that I could accept it. But - even though I'm jealous, I try not to let it show outwardly.

True. I have never been a jealous person. Down to earth people tend to be like that where they don’t care what others do or have. It is sad when grown adults point out things to brag and try to make you jealous.

True. I have never been a jealous person. Down to earth people tend to be like that where they don’t care what others do or have. It is sad when grown adults point out things to brag and try to make you jealous.
I will admit that sometimes I get jealous when people I know are taking vacations and mine have been cancelled and I have to wait but then I see how they really don't appreciate them as just a month or so later they complain about how they need a vacation and I am sitting over here 3 years later.....
The bragging is beyond me honestly. Humble people don't brag.

I would hardly imagine anyone is jealous of my crazy chaotic life. LOL
I am not jealous of other's material things (although I took a wrong turn the other day in Upper Brookville and some of those homes are just WOW so maybe a little jealous LOL) but I am jealous of girl moms because I would have loved a DD. Sometimes I'm jealous of SAHMs but then on the other end of it I can be jealous of colleague's accomplishments I know I could have achieved but for having kids. So things like that I can be jealous of. Not necessarily the person but the circumstances.
